VisionA Monument of Wonders is a multimedia “monument of words”, which is designed to have the same impact on the current global culture as Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey had on the Greeks or as the Bible, Koran and other scriptures have on the present.
Mission
A Monument of Wonders’ mission is to influence “cultural creatives” with a work of art, so that they begin to experience themselves and act in a “quantum affinity” or “oneness” manner, rather than in a cause and effect “Newtonian” manner.
A Monument of Wonders’ goal is to elevate the consciousness of .01% of human beings to a state of Oneness, thus creating a cascade effect, which transforms the planet, and inaugurates a Golden Age.
A Monument of Wonders’ seeks to influence, heal, and expand planetary consciousness through the creation of an internet “Fictional Monument” of words, images and sounds, which attracts multitudes of visitors, readers, sponsors and co-creators.
Co-creators and audience will be transformed through contact with the monument at the unconscious and superconscious levels, contact, which will, over time, create a state of “Oneness”, i.e., a permanent unconditional condition of awe, love, understanding and peace.
Description
Currently A Monument of Wonders is both a literary work and a radio program created by Roy Dean Doughty. As the Monument evolves, it may include other contributors and involve other media of expression.
A Monument of Wonders seeks not only to describe, but also to model (as the I Ching or the Mayan Calendar describe and model) the intersection of language, consciousness and time.
A Monument of Wonders utilizes a variety of stylistic devices: scientific, poetic, dramatic, novelistic, mathematical, historical, journalistic, epistolary, folkloric, prophetic, scriptural, and so forth. Each of these styles has its own syntax and vocabulary, and even its own unique coinages.
The purpose of this approach is to create a quantum literature in which indeterminacy and complementarity take the place of the traditional unities of time, place and action.
A Monument of Wonders is a cyberspace entity, not confined to time or space, but ubiquitous in both, and like creation itself, incorruptible, but constantly subject to change and evolution.
